Perth-based artist Trent-Jean has released a music video for his latest single ‘Electric’ from his debut LP ‘DEATHIS4L’ILLUSION’. Starring Romy B, Trent-Jean, Bree’s Hand, Gambino The Kerry Blue, and Danny Lanke, the video was filmed at Poons Head Studios (Fremantle).
The video showcases the angst of wanting to catch someone as electric as lightning, and the reality of how difficult it can be to catch lightning in a bottle, it takes you on a journey of an insufferable romantic, mixed with the confronting nature of terminal family illness. The song, written as a statement of love, hope, loss, and impermanence, is a testament to Trent-Jean’s unique vision and larger-than-life swagger.
Trent-Jean and fellow artist Yannai Goldberg co-founded their own independent label ‘9th-Dimension Records’ to present their sound to the world, and the former sound engineer, Rob Grant, has worked with big names such as Tame Impala, Lenny Kravitz, Miley Cyrus, and Josh Homme, and is playing an integral part in the 9th-Dimension sound.
