SONO Music announces Mettre le feu the new french pop single by Fovelle

Nouveau-disco producer Fovelle releases Mettre le feu ft. MLOW on May 13th. The soulful French Pop track is an hymn about not being afraid to go “là où la vie se crie”. A perfect psy-tropical groove vibe to start summer!

For this third song, Fovelle tried to go somewhere else. He wanted to go for a less forward energy than his previous releases. The goal was to create some kind of psychedelic tropical sound. As if Kevin Parker would have composed a song for l’Impératrice.

So he decided to work with vibey analog synthesizers, play a laid back bass-line, add a lot of percussions and arrange thick harmonies to make the catchy melodies stand out even more.

« Mettre le feu » means « set the fire ». The song is about having the courage to be happy. About not being afraid of leaving everything behind, choosing yourself and starting over. We all deserve to go « là où la vie se crie » (Where life screams).

Fovelle commented: “Releasing a song every month could be quite demanding. Especially, that I don’t have twelves songs mastered and ready to go. I’m always like one or two songs ahead but that’s it ! But to me that’s the beauty of it, I get to release songs which are in phase with my inspirations and feelings. I wouldn’t be able to work on a album for two years and release it. It would be hard to me to have a deep connection with it and would probably got bored by the time it comes out. This is my most personal song to date. This song was written on a cold humid day of the northern Québec city winter by a man dreaming of a better horizon. This man couldn’t believe the pale look of everybody’s faces in this cold and everlasting pandemic time. He wanted to « Mettre le feu » (set a fire) and go « là où la vie se crie » (Where life screams). That’s why I wanted something that felt a bit psychedelic and summery, but in a Fovelle kind of way. What if Tame Impala, l’Impératrice and Polo & Pan would’ve made a song together ?”.
