When it came to making BREAKAWAY I wouldn’t say it was easy, but I did have a lot of material to talk about. Sometimes as an artist thats been working hard on your craft you really forget to give yourself your flowers from time to time and that’s BREAKAWAY’s message. From that point is was about capturing the mood sonically, my goal was to make the self help song into a party banger and I think we did it!. I wanted to have a feature on the song who could def rely the message without being overly redundant, So I hit my homie Rothstein. We’ve known each other for a few years now and I’ve always seen him as an amazing song writer so I knew if he was down this would be the icing on the “this song is finna be so dope” cake, and he definitely executed. This was a super fun record to make and I hope it will help people realize they need to celebrate themselves a little more each day.
