The hook for this track was one of those rare cases where the melody and the lyrics just appeared in my head out of nowhere. Usually those ideas are the best, although I didn’t have any idea what it would end up like. Interestingly enough, I used the same chordprogression as I did on one of my very first songs that I’ve written years ago. From there it was just me trying to create the catchiest song I could make, while keeping it artsy and fastidious enough for my taste. The meaning of the song is fairly easy to grasp, it’s a snarky warning letter to a person that has lost their sensibility to arrogance and is about to fall back to the harsh reality. While the song is really upbeat and catchy, the lyrics are a bit more serious, similar to the effect of “Hey Ya” by OutKast.
