Q: What inspired you to make music?

A: Music was always the way through which I was able to express myself the most. There is always a song that helps me out of my anxiety and speaks to me like nobody else does. I want to give people exactly those kinds of songs. Songs that speak to them, give them safety, comfort, and a sense of belonging.

Q: How would you describe your sound?

A: It’s as if you put the genres indie-folk and alternative in a mixer. I combine melancholic, honest lyrics with acoustic instruments and synthesizers.

Q: What are your plans for future/upcoming releases?

A: I definitely want to experiment with my sound a little bit. It could be that I mix other genres with my usual sound, or I’ll try and write some happy songs. Who knows what the future holds.

Q: What has been your proudest moment as a musician so far?

A: I have two actually. The first one was when I played the first bigger stage with my band The Pitayas and we saw the whole crowd go crazy, jumping and clapping and singing along, even though we only played one song. The second one was not so long ago, where I showed some good friends one of my demos and they actually started crying. It felt a little bit weird to see people crying to your music for the first time, but I appreciated it a lot and it made me even more proud.

Q: How do you plan to keep your fans engaged?

A: I have loads of songs that are just waiting to be released into the world at this point. But besides that, I am really active on Instagram. I also post covers on YouTube and on TikTok I post some snippets of my songs in their early stages.

Q: What other genres of music do you enjoy listening to?

A: I generally listen to all kinds of genres, it just strongly depends on the mood I’m in. Right now my most listened genre is Indie Pop, but besides that, I listen to loads of Modern Rock, Alternative Metal and Pixie.

Q: What elements do you draw inspiration from when creating your music?

A: I draw inspiration from everything I see and feel. Mostly my lyrics contain stories of deeply personal experiences and feelings, combined with fake scenarios out of my dreams.

Q: What is your music creation process like?

A: It always starts out with either a chord progression or a quote I thought of. Then I play that chord progression over and over again and write more lyrics, up to a point where I feel it’s time to record it and then the experiments start. Which means that I play around with drums, synths, and other cool stuff that I find along the creating process. Afterwards, I mix it and show it to people, and then I add stuff and take stuff away and then at some point later the song is done.

Q: Are there any other musical projects you are currently involved in?

A: Yes. I play in a band called The Pitayas and because I study at BIMM University, I am always involved in loads of other cool band and co-writing projects as well.

Thank you for sharing that with us. It sounds like your upcoming single will be a heartfelt and emotional experience for listeners.
