What inspired you to make music?

“It’s hard for me to trace it down that far as I have been writing songs since I was twelve or maybe thirteen. Music in many different ways has been what surrounds my life and all of the fun activities I have been a part of and the hard times I have been through. I’d say growing up in a family where everyone around you played an instrument just for fun, just for entertainment, some of them to entertain themselves and some did try to be a full-time musician. That environment, I think, is what inspired me to make the music I make it.”

How would you describe your sound?

“I do find it a bit more fun when other people describe it, but I think the best way to put it would be somewhere between guitar music and pop music, but sometimes I’ll go full-on singer-songwriter on you, and you’ll be confused.”

What are your plans for future/upcoming releases?

“So ‘Together’ is the second single on the lead-up to my first EP named ‘SEMICOLON;’ which comes out in April. After the EP comes out, I’ll be playing some gigs in London with some of my friends and then onto my next project, which will be a bunch of single until August (summer time).”

What has been your proudest moment as a musician so far?

“I played my first gig this year in my flat to promote my single ‘Flat 23’ of course! I think what we did that night with just a few people is kinda of what I want to be doing, and it felt great to realize that I do love what I do even though it is hard work. We had 30 to 35 people in my two-bedroom flat in central London that night, and I almost got kicked out by the landlord, so I’m proud of that for sure. It means we were having fun.”

How do you plan to keep your fans engaged?

“I have all the time in the world, and for me, it is always fun when people tell me they love my music because I will invite them out for a coffee or a drink or a gig, mine or someone else’s. For me, doing gigs and releasing stuff is the least I can do if I’m not connecting to these people as much as they’re connecting to me because the songs are quite vulnerable and personal. It’s like, I’m here, we can be friends, I want to be friends.”

What other genres of music do you enjoy listening to?

“I listen to everything. I got this amazing record player as a birthday gift last year, and I’ve been using it so much that I don’t even have money anymore, it all goes into records. I’d say right now, this week, I’ve been listening to a lot of Brazilian stuff because I’m Brazilian, and my grandma left me a bunch of her old country records, so I’ve been living inside them since January.”

What Elements Do You Draw Inspiration From When Creating Your Music?

“In regards to my first project, I must say that my past experiences have been the main source of inspiration. Whether they were good or bad, I find it quite inspiring to reflect on my personal stories and incorporate them into my music. For the past two years, I haven’t been able to write a song without my trusty acoustic guitar. It serves as the backbone and essential element for my creative process.”

What Is Your Music Creation Process Like?

“My music creation process is all over the place! I aim to write one song a day, and if I like what I’ve written, I’ll produce a demo and go from there. However, if I’m not satisfied with what I’ve created that day, I’ll work on some of the other songs I have in my backlog. This approach has worked well for me, as it allows me to stay productive and keeps me from feeling creatively stifled.”

Are there any other musical projects you are currently involved in?

“Aside from my personal music projects, I’ve also been producing for other artists recently. One of my collaborations is with an artist named Kilu, and we recently released a whole EP together. Working with Kilu has been an amazing experience, and I’m excited to see what we create together in the future.”

Tell us about your upcoming releases and provide further details about them:

“As for my upcoming releases, I have a lot in store. My next single, “Never Alone,” is set to come out on April 14th, and I’ll be announcing a release party gig for that day, which will take place on April 28th. I have a few other singles coming out after that, including “Break from Being Broken” on May 26th. I’m still deciding on which tracks to release on June 30th and July 28th, but I’ll make sure to keep everyone updated as we get closer to those dates.”
