Q: What inspired you to make music?

Louis Emory: It’s something I feel pulled to do. It’s hard to explain; it’s just a part of me. There’s something very spiritual about it. Working on it becomes a sort of meditation and focus. The world feels a little crazy today… I’ll pull out my guitar, and the heaviness starts to disappear at least in those moments.

Q: How would you describe your sound?

Louis Emory: Our sound is evolving. I’m not really sure. I let the song tell me what it needs and try to listen to my intuition.

Q: What are your plans for future/upcoming releases?

Louis Emory: We are currently working with Shelly on two new EPs!

Q: What has been your proudest moment as a musician so far?

Louis Emory: Having the opportunity to work with and continuing to work with Shelly Yakus.

Q: How do you plan to keep your fans engaged?

Louis Emory: By continuing to write, record, and release good songs!

Q: What other genres of music do you enjoy listening to?

Louis Emory: There are so many genres now; it’s hard to keep up! I listen to 60’s and 70’s mostly with some Sinatra, Dean Martin, etc. Depends on my mood. The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Bill Withers, Freddie King, Fruit Bats, Bob Dylan and The Band. The list goes on and on.

Q: What elements do you draw inspiration from when creating your music?

Louis Emory: Life, history, love… everything.

Q: What is your music creation process like?

Louis Emory: I try to write when the inspiration strikes. I’ll write some lyrics or usually these days, I’ll have a chord progression I like and I try to focus on finishing it. Usually, there will be some revisions that go on, and once I get it to a place where I think it sounds good, I’ll send it to Bob, Tim, and Shelly.

Q: Are there any other musical projects you are currently involved in?

Louis Emory: No, I’m trying to stay focused on writing the best songs I can during this time period.

Q: Tell us about your upcoming releases and provide further details about them.

Louis Emory: We are in the process of recording two new EPs with Shelly consisting of six songs each. One will have songs inspired by Italy, and the other won’t.
