PolSky Release New Single ‘Song for the Silver Surfer’ and Announces Upcoming Debut Album

PolSky, the anthemic indie dance band, has announced the release of their latest single, ‘Song for the Silver Surfer,’ directed by Brit Award-winning director Jamie Thraves. The track is the third single from their debut album, which is slated for release in May 2023.

With their previous releases, ‘100 Million Ways to Die’ and ‘Halcyon Daze,’ the band received praise from critics and gained a significant following. Their new single takes a departure from their usual guitar-heavy indie dance tracks and delivers a downtempo ballad, exploring the woes of lost love in the later years of life.

The song is inspired by orchestral downtempo pop from the early 2000s and features lyrics like “These are the silver surfer days, I’ll silver surf my winter days away.” Despite the somber theme, the track also expresses hope for finding love even in later years.

The official music video for ‘Song for the Silver Surfer’ is directed by Jamie Thraves, who has previously worked with iconic bands such as Radiohead, Blur, and The Verve. PolSky’s upcoming debut album is expected to be a diverse mix of indie dance tracks, and this latest single showcases the band’s ability to experiment with different genres.
