Public Body’s ‘Reset My Password’ Is Framed By Our Modern Dystopia

Chugging post-punk that doesn't pull its punches…

Brighton outfit Public Body have shared new song ‘Reset My Password’.

The band’s new EP ‘Flavour Of Labour’ is out on March 4th, matching Brutalist post-punk leaning sonics against indie songwriting.

The band’s own Theo Verney produced the EP during sessions at Echo Zoo Studios, resulting in something urgent and vital.

Take new single ‘Reset My Password’. A song about being swamped by this modern dystopia, it moves from the micro to the macro.

Public Body’s Seb Gilmore drives the single forwards with a searing vocal, and he comments:

“At the height of Covid, everyone was clapping for NHS staff and key workers… and that got me thinking what my place is in all this mess. I then logged onto my work computer and was advised by a popup that it was time to reset my password. So I wrote a song about how pointless and useless my job is to the world when everything felt like it was breaking and seemed apocalyptic.”

Tune in now.
