Sonic Maven is a band from Colorado Springs, United States that is encouraging people to pursue their dreams with their debut single “Look at Me Now”. Drawing on the raw edge of garage music while still maintaining a nuanced sound, Sonic Maven is truly a band to watch in the coming years. Sonic Maven has a deeply emotional side to their music that they know how to show and channel to their fans through melodic writing. They have a unique sound that mixes diverse influences with good knowledge of their direction and a solid vision that led them in producing a sound that’s their very own.
Sonic Maven commented: “I didn’t have the best childhood. My father left when I was young, and I blamed myself for it. I questioned why he would leave, and what I could have done better. My step-father was a cop and treated me like a criminal for years to where we are now estranged. I joined active duty military (8 year veteran) and even in my career, I felt inadequate in my job because of many reasons I won’t go into. Even in my music, I felt unworthy. After many years, I realized my life was not getting any better with this perspective. Forget the haters, and take criticism as helpful criticism. Forget my dad(s), they were losers anyway and I’m better off without them. Forget all the people that looked down on my for whatever reason, because they’re not going anywhere either. Once I had this mind shift change, I saw real success. The hope is this song inspires listeners to keep following their dreams no matter what the world thinks. No matter their upbringing. No matter their pedigree. We all have the power to change our future and one day say, Look at Me Now.”
When asked what their message to their fans would be, Sonic Maven replied: “Each one of us is unique in some way and has value. Find your passion and once you do, don’t ever stop despite what others tell you. You need something to express yourself, and the world needs to see or hear or experience it in some way.”
