The latest Glastonbury festival weather predictions are in.
The festival returns to full strength this summer, a kind of delayed 50th birthday party for one of Europe’s key outdoor events.
Paul McCartney, Billie Eilish, and Kendrick Lamar will headline, while the enormous line up contains all manner of superb names.
As ever, one key component lies outwith the abilities of the Glastonbury team – the weather.
The latest predictions from the Met Office cite a 30% chance of rain on Friday (June 24th), but Saturday contains a 40% chance.
Sadly, Sunday is looking pretty wet – there’s a 60% chance of rain at some point during the festival’s last day.
Apocalyptic visions of mud are perennially associated with Glastonbury, so much so that our peers at theQuietus began critiquing the media’s mis-guided use of ‘the Somme’ trope.
This year, though, shouldn’t match the scenes of old – the weather is mixed, with highs of 19 and 20 degrees Celsius predicted over the weekend.
