Annakye, the alternative pop band that has been making waves in the local music scene since their formation in 2019, is set to release their brand-new single, “Too Far South,” on April 14th, 2023. With the addition of two new fronts and a refreshed sound, the band is poised for a big year.

The song captures the tumultuous emotions of a toxic relationship, with its powerful and unique blend of alternative and pop influences. Recorded at Point studio with Ron, the band worked with the renowned Brent Kolatalo to bring the song to life.

Annakye’s influences are diverse, ranging from The Pixies to Kiss to Paramore. They have played notable gigs, such as supporting The Lazys and playing their first front-lining home show at the Cambridge Hotel. The band members include Cameron, Lucas, Joel, Carlos, Richard, and Ben, who play a variety of instruments.
