According to MELFI, “Praise” is not the first collaboration between him and Alpha Moses, and it certainly won’t be the last. However, it is the first time they have truly poured their hearts and souls into a track together. Alpha Moses, who is not usually a fan of writing songs based on a demo beat, was immediately inspired by the EDM representation of “praise” that MELFI had created. The process of writing the lyrics was seamless, with the phrase “Feel your praise, feel my praise, feel our praise” repeating in Alpha Moses’ head.
MELFI wanted to step out of his comfort zone and show a different side of himself with “Praise.” Instead of his usual dark and gritty sound, he aimed to create something bright, warm, and full of excitement – a true representation of what “praise” sounds like to him and Alpha Moses.
“Each creative choice was made to exemplify the theme of praise and what that sounds like to us as musicians,” says MELFI. “Bright, warm, booming, exciting, euphoric – these are the words that come to mind when we think of ‘Praise.'”
