The goal of my music is to help people, but just this once I wanted to send a message not to many people, but just to one person, my mother. I was inspired by the life I’ve spent with her and also by stories from her childhood. The distance between me and her for the past 4 years has been very important in writing the lyrics; I wanted the music to convey this distance with very distant sounds, contrasted by a close, very present voice.Ticco
