Moon Landing, the Belfast-based alternative artist and multi-instrumentalist, has just released his latest single ‘A Lack of Natural Light’. The track is the first release in a series of 2023 releases backed by Help Musicians, and was recorded at Half Bap Studios with Graham Davidson.
‘A Lack of Natural Light’ sees Moon Landing explore new musical textures, with the addition of a string section featuring solo violin and full string quartet. The track has an undeniably Celtic twist, reflecting the artist’s roots in Irish traditional music, and takes the listener on an emotional journey from utter despair to pure ecstasy.
Moon Landing first appeared on the music scene in 2021 with the single ‘The Room is Spinning,’ which captured the isolation and seclusion experienced during worldwide lockdowns. Since then, he has earned critical acclaim and a solid fanbase in the UK and Ireland, and has been involved in various workshops and initiatives, such as the ’Soft Gut Song Camp.’
‘A Lack of Natural Light’ showcases Moon Landing’s ability to walk the line between fragile vulnerability and powerful raw energy. The track is a bittersweet song for the ages, and further cements Moon Landing’s place as a rising star in the alternative music scene. With the release of ‘A Lack of Natural Light,’ Moon Landing is sure to continue to captivate audiences with his unique sound and powerful lyricism.
