“Dead Wrong” details a unique but all too common story of an unequal and toxic relationship. I love this song because it plays into the themes of the overarching project. The song drives home the feeling of wishing you never met someone or that you would’ve just stayed in that night. Pete and I actually started this song in winter of 2018 after a wild night out in NYC. I showed him the song on a rooftop bar and he immediately loved it and wrote the whole song in the cab ride home. We were anxious to release it because we thought that people wouldn’t get it, we put it on the back-burner then the pandemic happened. As I was putting this project “Homebody” together I stumbled on this song again and it was a perfect fit, especially since this sound is more popular than ever.
