To Grace comes directly from a dream. The refrain was whispered into my ear in a dream, by an elder I do not know, but recognise as part of my creative weave.
‘To grace’ is full of joy, not for something that will magically come to save us, but for the fundamental goodness of the connection with people who inspire us, and whom we recognise as members of our tribe. The sometimes troubled, but grounded on deep love, connections.
This song is inspired by Agnes Obel’s for the piano compositional structure, and for the choices of vocal layering in the production.
