Moments is the second single of Ladylucci’s solo project, after her debut single ‘Different’. The song was written during the pandemic lockdown in 2020, when our individual freedom was taken away and we had a lot of time to spend on our own, think and be introspective. Inspired by that, the song wants to explore the concept of freedom, which can be found in everyday moments of life and simple things like partying, dancing and laughing. It wants to send the message that we truly experience life when we feel free, with freedom being our purpose and our destination in our life path. The HipHop/Trap beat and the sonorities of the song are inspired by 2000s RnB music, as well as the stylistic choices and moodboard of the visuals, inspired by Missy Elliott’s music videos, where choreographies were a key part of the song.

Ladylucci – Moments Lyrics

When I have a moment when I’m all alone
I look around I think about the times when I was just fine
All on my own

When time is just a number on my phone
And I sit by the window where the sunlight comes through
I think about all I did to get here
To say I’m free

I see myself dancing like I’m in that movie I saw last night
With flashing lights
And people screaming and laughing like it’s the only way to survive
Cause maybe it is

Maybe we live waiting for this

When I have a moment when I feel alone
I think of all the voices in my head I had to shut down
To make me strong

I see myself dancing like I’m in that movie I saw last night
With flashing lights
And people screaming and laughing like it’s the only way to survive
Cause maybe it is

Maybe we live waiting for this
