Indie-Rock Band Brings a New Sound to Genre with Exciting New Track

Cambridge, United Kingdom-based four-piece indie rock band Radegunds recently released their debut single “Catch The Crazy”, a blues-rock inspired track with soaring vocal melodies and brash, heavy guitar riffs. The song was recorded with, mixed and mastered by Jake Day of Tom Lumley & the Brave Liason over a 2 day session at North Acre Recording Studio.
The early melodic ideas and riffs that would eventually evolve into this song date back as far as early 2017, well before the band was even formed. When Radegunds was put together during the end of the first COVID lockdown in 2020, this was one of the first songs that came to fruition, as each member of the band began to put their own spin on their respective parts, and the lyrical ideas started to take shape.
The band’s sound is heavily influenced by the ‘El Camino’ and ‘Brothers’ blues-rock style of the Black Keys, amongst some of their other favorite indie-rock artists. The aim of the session was to produce a catchy tune, oozing with attitude both lyrically and melodically.
“Catch The Crazy” is an exciting debut single for the band, and with its blues-rock influenced sound and attitude-filled lyrics, it’s sure to be a hit with fans of indie rock. The song is a fantastic illustration of how the indie rock subgenre has developed over time and how musicians today are still pushing the envelope to produce fresh, original musical works.. With the band’s strong songwriting abilities and catchy sound, it’s clear we’ll be hearing a lot more from Radegunds in the future.
