FiveSidedDice Releases Dark and Edgy EP “Letters to The Devil”

Exploring Loneliness and Alienation in Modern Society

South African musician Roscoe Nefdt, better known as FiveSidedDice, has recently released his latest EP, “Letters to The Devil.” The six-track EP is a dark and introspective collection of sounds, inspired by feelings of loneliness, alienation, change, and the unpredictability of life. FiveSidedDice’s unique sound draws inspiration from a handful of artists from various contrasting genres, such as punk metal, reggae, hip hop, jazz, and classical.

“Letters to The Devil” was recorded in South Africa at FiveSidedRecords in Gqeberha and independently mastered by Roscoe in Northamptonshire, United Kingdom. All music and production were independently handled by Roscoe, making the EP a true expression of his artistic vision.

The EP contains a wide variety of sounds and musical genres, including lighthearted pop-punk, rap-metal, and rock with bluesy undertones. Every song on “Letters to the Devil” has its own unique narrative and addresses issues including addiction, nihilism, sorrow, and social isolation.

FiveSidedDice has performed across South Africa at countless venues, festivals, and smaller shows across the UK, showcasing his talent and versatility as a musician. “Letters to The Devil” is the first release of 2023 from Roscoe Nefdt/FiveSidedDice and the first release launched and released from the United Kingdom and outside of South Africa.

As an independent artist, Roscoe Nefdt’s success relies on the support of his fans. “Letters to The Devil” is a testament to his creativity and talent as a musician, highlighting the importance of supporting new and independent artists in the music industry.
