Let’s talk about Chandra and his talent. On Friday 1st March, this talented artist from Bristol, UK, released his new single “I’ll Be There”. Let’s dive into how this riff-heavy, feel-good pop-rock tune is a follow-up to his critically acclaimed singles “Pretty” and “Smile (No Fox Gibbon)” from 2023. You will feel their infectious hooks and a thought-provoking message. I’ll Be There is a rallying cry for those who want to make a positive change in the world. But also feel powerless to do so.

Nowadays, the news is filled with negative events. So, it’s easy to become overwhelmed and despondent. However, Chandra reminds us that the solutions to many of our problems start at home. Simple acts of friendship, love, and kindness could make a difference. Through his music, he encourages us to believe that we can make a difference.

Chandra’s musical talent has been praised by various media outlets. We can mention them such as Earmilk, Clash, Honk Magazine, and Rock Chart News. His distinctive sound blends multiple genres. Rock and pop influences are notable. This mixture creates an invigorating. Also, thought-provoking musical experience. His vocal prowess has been described as coming from the top. It’s like “nothing short of extraordinary”. Skillfully, his voice is the driving force behind his powerful messages.

We can say that he writes from the heart. He intends to share stories of the human condition and tackle issues such as self-belief, confidence, and mental health. He believes in using his platform to bring attention to these important topics. Topics that are often overlooked in the music industry.

As all artists have done, Chandra draws inspiration from a diverse range of artists. This list could include Bowie, Queen, The Carpenters, Britney Spears, and Sam Fender. He credits his parents’ record player for introducing him to great melodies. Also for shaping his musical taste. Fortunately, he also mentions being influenced by bands such as Suede, Blur, Oasis, Manic Street Preachers, and Radiohead during his teenage years. Also, REM’s 1995 Monster Tour was a pivotal moment that solidified his passion for performing live.

He fronted an alt-rock band in his late teens. Chandra is no stranger to the stage and knows how to put on a great performance. He released three successful singles in 2023. Accordingly, he is now gearing up for a tour with a full band in 2024. The release of “I’ll Be There” on 1st March 2024 is just the beginning. He also has an EP set to launch in June and several festival appearances scheduled for the summer.

In regards to the message behind “I’ll Be There”, Chandra shared, “I used to despair at the fact that nothing I did would make a blind bit of difference against the swirling vortex of war, disease, corruption, political turmoil, and environmental disasters. Waking up every day to a backdrop of relentless bad news, and feeling helpless to do anything about it, really gets you down. But the truth is we CAN effect a change and it starts right here, at home, with how we treat one another. We can be the ones to turn this all around with simple but widespread acts of love, trust, and empathy.”

He also added, “I wrote this song to help everyone realize that you can make small changes to the way you act… simply be there for someone, smile at someone, and with every single positive move we dissipate more and more bad feeling. On a grand scale, I think that represents the sea change that we all need. And I purposefully filled this song with little musical surprises (some bigger than others) to make everyone smile, snigger, and beam while they think about what small thing they can do to make someone happy.”

In a world where negativity seems to dominate, Chandra’s music serves as a reminder that we all have the power to spread love and make a difference. “I’ll Be There” is a catchy and uplifting song that will leave you feeling inspired to do good and be there for others. So mark your calendars for 1st March and get ready to jam out to Chandra’s new single.
