European Alt Pop solo artist Laurelight is set to release his second EP ‘The Tunnel’ on 23rd June 2023. This highly anticipated EP comes after a successful debut project ‘Connected’, released in August 2021, and is already shaping up to be a major success.
Laurelight, originally from Italy, began his solo alt pop project in London, and his music is inspired by artists such as The Weeknd, Charlie Puth and Christine and the Queens. His artist brand focuses on a main concept, ‘The Darker it gets, the Brighter you become’, which sums up his resilient attitude towards the difficulties that life puts us through.
Laurelight began his musical career in 2020 when he released his first two singles ‘Stuck in a Moment’ and ‘Magic’, which gained traction from Independent Spotify Playlists, Radio and Blogs internationally. This led to the release of ‘Rainbow’ in May 2021, which was met with further recognition from international music blogs.
‘Open Your Eyes’ was Laurelight’s fifth single and it was released on 30th September 2022, followed by a 3 date promo tour in London, including a release party at The Beehive in Bromley by Bow. The alt pop-rock anthem ‘Brighter Days’ was the last single to be released in 2022, followed by a 5 date tour in between Italy and the UK.
2023 opened with the mellow alt pop track ‘Peaceful’, released on 3rd February and gaining critical acclaim from UK and International Music Magazines. This was followed by the alt synth pop track ‘Deep in The Dark’, released on the 21st April, and now Laurelight is set to release his second EP ‘The Tunnel’ on the 23rd June.
The EP’s full tracklist includes: ‘Deep in The Dark’, ‘Open Your Eyes’, ‘Brighter Days’, ‘The Tunnel’ and ‘Peaceful’. To promote the new EP, Laurelight will play live on a 5 dates tour in between the UK and Italy.
Commenting on the new EP, Laurelight said: “Life sometimes can be a heavy burden to carry on a daily basis. I always look at my music as a way to ease the weight of that burden. Resilience is the main topic of this journey as it follows my artist motto ‘The darker it gets, the brighter you become’.”
