Cecilia Lara meets three boys during her Erasmus in Aix-en-Provence. This experience was the greatest feeling of freedom and the four kids agreed that they felt as if they were in Neverland, just like Peter Pan, never growing. Lying in the grass, playing guitar and shouting in the forest, the kids would never grow up. Aix and the music they wrote could make time stop forever.

J L had always wanted to collaborate with Joejas ever since they first met. They had talked about it before, but for one reason or another, they never got around to making it happen. However, one day when J L was in the studio working on a new song, he thought that Joejas would be the perfect fit for a feature.
Excited about the idea, J L hit Joejas up on Instagram, asking if he was interested in collaborating. Joejas, a fan of J L’s music and intrigued by the idea of working together, enthusiastically agreed.
The two artists got to work, creating a unique sound that captures the struggle of denying one’s true feelings towards someone. J L, who also produced the track, blended a variety of genres to create an upbeat, infectious melody, while Joejas’ vocals add a fun, energetic feel to the song.
The initial title of the song was “Get Lost,” but during the collaboration process, Joejas suggested shortening it to simply “Lost” to give it a more poignant feel.
With the new title in place, “Lost” is ready to be shared with the world, and J L and Joejas can’t wait for listeners to hear the emotional energy and infectious rhythm of their latest collaboration. With their combined talents and creative vision, “Lost” promises to be a standout track that captures the emotions of denying one’s true feelings towards someone.

“By chance, DeathNov heard Joan Jett & the Blackhearts’ “I Love Rock ‘N Roll” from 1981. The lyrics of the song sang “I Love Rock ‘N Roll”, which inspired DeathNov to combine rock and PsyTrance into something new. DeathNov wrote the lyrics “Rock Rock Rock Rock Rock to the Party”, which served as a prelude for the catchy lyrics that followed. Then, DeathNov invited good friend Phoebe Riri to sing this song, and after a year and seven version revisions, the song was finally completed.”

The song relies on a double connotation given to the title, both referring to the different ‘voices’ or ‘personae’ of the self and to the layer concealing what is real and true. It all started as a bare version with vocals and guitar, with the core idea of the ‘mirroring’ of the two voices (the low and the high-pitched). From that first version I kept almost everything intact, as it already sounded complete.

The track is inspired by the light and dark duality of todays society. Where we find criminals, we also find heroes.
The song is Van Elst’s creative take on Tino Konino’s earlier sonic creation 1984. The two met on a plane journey from Zwitserland to The Netherlands. The song is all about how we are are being controlled without seeing the light, yet we get hypnotised by the driving beat of life and all our distractions while searching for life’s “freedom”. The theme of the song was partly inspired by the book 1984 by George Orwell.
This is a glimpse into the fight I have in my head about who I am really. I don’t always know which side of me is talking because sometimes the different perspectives are all talking at one time. This is just the transcript of what’s being said
I imagined ‘Mon Cœur’ as a medieval science fiction tale, in which two male characters cannot love each other publicly and one of them decides to transform himself into the other in order to stay close to him.
The song is composed around the hypnotic melody of the piano, on top of which the strings and vocals are woven in. I thought of this song as music for a film, in which the electronic sounds manifest real presences. The lyrics speak of feelings getting so strong that that transform continuously into textures and materials (“from his blue sadness I made my coat”). Transformation is a starting point and an observation of the fact that we are not autonomous islands, but beings physiologically very permeable to what surrounds us – in particular contaminated by what we love.
The track is written, composed and produced by Gintsugi herself, co-produced and mixed by Beautiful Losers Records.
Alessandra Arcangeli, aka Hallyx, is a singer-songwriter and actress from Rome. She’s half-cuban; and lived for a year in US. Her music is influenced by theater, her lyrics are intimate monologues that became songs; she likes to sing only focusing on the story, and the emotions she wants to share.

“The Wound” was born from a very deep feeling I had in a specific moment while I was composing it. This feeling made me change it completely: it was mainly electronic at first, and without voice and the orchestra. That feeling was about a strange perception of “memory”: I started to sing the first lines and then I realized I was singing about one of the darkest and painful moment of my life, that sometimes I don’t even remember clearly. I’ve sang about this moment a lot, but this time I was different. So I kept digging into that and I found out I was writing about a healing process that actually had already ended and that made me writing about it in a more conscious way than the previous times. The soundtrack was born in December 2022, and the cold helped me a lot to go deep into my emotions to find what was the warmth I was trying to recall when my hands were on the piano. I would say this is one of the very flames in an Album that is going to be wintry for the most, but I wanted to start showing how I could bear this cold, and how I eventually found a way to perceive the smallest temperature changes. And this is of course a metaphor.

This is a song I’ve always loved, apparently far from my kind of music but actually very close to my sensitivity and my vision. It has a sort of nostalgic and ‘out-of-time’ feel, mainly given by the main vocal melody and the stunning, ‘iconic’ oboe parts. Of course, one of the most challenging aspects was keeping my style without going too far from the original. As for the sound I wanted to pursue, I based my version on acoustic guitar, coupled with a percussion set to give a rhythmic backbone that had a quite epic-folk feel. Violins used for the original oboe parts, another oboe, synths and a clean and reverberated electric guitar used to complete the arrangement and give a sort of dreamy feel. However, I think the turning point of OBITF’s version is represented by vocals, doubling and also tripling in interesting harmonies and combinations.
The desire to make my own version of this song had been in my mind for a lot of years, never to be made concrete until few months ago, when I resolved to take this challenge. What I recorded that day at home was a bare version, but having pretty much all the core elements of the final one. I must say I had quite clear ideas on how it should sound, and in no more than an hour everything was pinned down.
Songs, like people, need time to grow. This record has grown and developed alongside The American Hotel System’s musical journey as a band. It started nearly four years ago over a conversation with producer Jake Rye. Shortly after, the world was hit with the global pandemic and all of the band’s plans came to a halt. The band commented, “We’re grateful for that time as it allowed us to grow and stretch into a better version of ourselves. A year ago, we started pre-production and Jake has walked alongside us throughout the process and helped push these songs to be their best.”
From the existential yearnings of “Can You Hear It?” to the introspective mental health journey of of “Tripping,” this EP explores the complexities of relationships and the impact of our thoughts and emotions. “Fire” ignites with raw intensity, delving into the pain and growth that come from letting go of our egos. In “Seattle,” the band paints a vivid picture of growth, capturing the universal language of love and connection. “21st” reflects on the challenges of navigating the modern world while seeking personal growth and selflessness. Finally, “Not The End” offers a poignant reflection on mortality and the legacy we leave behind.
Once you remove the vail of vanity you can sense the divinity in everything.
The song builds from small fragments to massive irruption
Just like the small things contain infinite beauty also called divinity.
“If it were a tarot card, the album would be the Nameless Arcane.
Born of desolation and great solitude, it rests on the backbone of things. It’s a direct confrontation with reality. A disappointment, but also the realization that you can sometimes find nourishment where you’ve never looked. And the endurance to carry on, despite everything”.
No Master is a contrasting track from chorus to verse with a grimy vibe switching into the the feel good guitar licks during the chorus. The track celebrates freedom and trying to control ones own existence in a world filled with social, religious and political oppression.

Ticco – Io e Te
